It's in our Hands
Congratulations on finding an Uncertain Tides Sculpture! This is 1 of 4 sculptures dotted along the coast from Exmouth-Paignton.
It was inspired by work with White Rock Primary School in Paignton. 90 students from Year 4 joined us for a Beach Clean on Goodrington Sands in early 2024. They then created their very own performance based on their experience - writing poems about what they found at the beach and then performing these creatively to their friends and family.

About The Project
Uncertain Tides was a 2 year project from 2023-25 connecting diverse young people across Devon with their local coastline. We worked in Primary & SEN schools, libraries, heritage spaces, theatres & the great outdoors to explore what the coast means to young people today, the challenges it faces and how we might protect it in the future
Thanks to...
Jo Hart and the Three Beaches Holiday Apartments for letting us put a sculpture on their land.
Wild Planet Trust for their work on the Beach Clean.
The National Lottery Players and The National Lottery Heritage Fund for funding the sculptures.
